The Freshman Wrestling Team has had much success in the last two weekends, despite a lack of experience from the majority of the team. Freshman Steven Barshop, Liam White, and Danny Breslin are the only three who had ever wrestled a match prior to high school, but they have been joined by a tough group of young men who are willing to take their lumps and learn how to become champions.
There are currently 16 Freshman in the program. They are:

This past weekend, the Freshman Traveled to Lyons Township. After dropping a dual against the host team, the Friars rallied to defeat Naperville Central and Glenbard South. The team was led by Steven Barshop and Sean McGee who were both 3-0 on the day. Barhop also earned the Varsity 6 pts with a pin against St. Pats Friday in the Lawless Gym.
Coach Tony Poro and the other freshman coaches could not be more proud of the team and their tenacity. "They are a great group of young men. The way these guys go out and battle it out with older, more experienced kids says a lot about their toughness. If we keep getting freshman like these, we are going to have a very bright future."
