Sophomore Nick Leis

The Fenwick Wrestling Staff wanted to give a special congratulations to our heavyweight Nick Leis. Although we have not been giving out a "Wrestler of the Week" award, we feel the honor should definitely be bestowed on Nick for his accomplishments this week.



Nick secured a team victory over CCL rival St. Rita with a 10-8 victory in the final bout of the night. Nick got out to a 10-0 lead in the first period and fought off a late rally and a headlock attempt in the final seconds to secure the win for himself, his teammates, and Coach Ruffino in his final home meet of his career.

Leis continued his winning ways over the weekend by capturing 3rd place in the Sophomore CCL Championships Saturday at Loyola. Nick defeated DeLaSalle by a score of 8-0 in the Championship match.
