The next wave of Friar wrestlers will be traveling to 64th and Dante this Saturday to compete in the Sophomore CCL Tournament. With Sophomores Chris Hawthorne and Ben Uphues, and Freshman Al Aguilar competing at the Varsity tournament, the team will be a bit short-handed. This will not stop our young men from competing for top honors. The Friar lineup looks like this:

So. Matt Bindon will be wrestling in his first competition since early December. The team is very excited to have Matt back with the team. He has already expressed interest in joining Coach Jerry Poro and others in wrestling in off-season tournaments to make up matches (more information on off-season wrestling to follow). So. Louis Finney is back at practice after missing considerable time with an ankle injury suffered at the Maine East Tournament. He will not be wrestling with the team but has also been eyeing a full slate of off season wrestling to prepare for his Jr. season.
The finals of the tournament are tentatively scheduled for 1:30pm and will be streamed live on the Mt. Carmel website. A direct to this link will be provided Saturday, so check back that day to watch out guys!
