Senior Night started with a great reception for parents at 4:00pm, full of cookies, coffee, smiles, and conversation. At 5:00 however, the Friars put the pleasantries aside and went out to take care of business against the Guerin Prep Gators. The night got started with three exhibition matches, pitting some of the talented freshman against some of the Gator JV Wrestlers. Danny McCall and Jack Lambert both scored first period pins.
The Varsity dual was never in doubt, as the Friars blew past the Gators winning all but one match, with the seniors leading the way. Ryan Sanchez, Mike Kozyra, and Jim Wise each pinned in the first period. Emerson Harris was a winner by tech-fall, and Kevin Marzo won by decision, 6-5.
With teachers, students, and administrators watching, the seniors and the rest of the team rose to the occasion. Congratulations Seniors, good luck with the rest of the year!
