Senior Night 1/17

Come out to the Lawless Gym Friday at 5:00pm for Senior Night. The team will be taking on the Guerin Prep Gators and the Rebels of Ridgewood High School. We will celebrate the following seniors:

120 Danny Freitag - Although he has been injured and missed much of his Senior Year, Danny has been an integral part of the team. Danny's leadership on and off the mat have been as asset that the coaching staff has valued highly. Danny has been a Sectional Qualifier and took 3rd in the Chicago Catholic League his sophomore year.

132 Ryan Sanchez - A member of the soccer team and wrestling team, Ryan has been a four year wrestler that has taken on many challenges. He joined the team as a freshman with no previous experience and has been a valuable varsity contributor for two years after placing 2nd in the sophomore CCL tournament.

138/145 Emerson Harris - Like others, Harris joined the team as a freshman without any previous wrestling experience. With strong athletic ability commitment, he earned the Freshman Team MVP Award. Harris placed second in the Sophomore CCL Tournament and is a Sectional Qualifier.

160 Jim Wise - Wise came to the team after wrestling in the IKWF for the Riverside-Brookfied Bulldogs. He has been competing for varsity time all year and is coming off a very successful weekend at the Plainfield North Quad (w/ Providence and Joliet West).

170 - Mike Kozyra - Before joint the varsity team as a freshman, Kozyra wrestled for various IKWF clubs including the Little Huskies and the Shamrock Wrestling Club, however he will always ben known as the last of the Fenwick Falcons to become a Friar. He has taken 3rd place at the CCL Tournament twice, and earned all-state honers in 2013 after placing 4th at the IHSA State Finals. Currently, Kozyra is ranked 2nd at 170lbs (AA) by illinoismatmen.com

182 Kevin Marzo - Marzo joined the team his junior year. Despite not having any previous experience, Marzo has put in a tremendous amount of work and has been a dedicated member of the varsity team.

195 Nick Sacramento - Another four year wrestler who joined as a new wrestler, Sacramento began to come into his own his sophomore year. That year he won the Most Improved Award and qualified for the Frosh/Soph State Tournament.
